Guy's I had MVS loaded and it was working. I had a system crash and had to reinstall it and now the Visual Micro has an error on start-up.
"There was an error loading the Arduino addin. Please report this to http://www.visualmicro.com
Could not load type "Visual.Micro.Processing.Sketch, Version=35.1.4435.40502, Culture=netural, PublicKeyToken=null'."
I'm using the same MVS 2010 Ultimate but the Visual Micro and the Arduino IDE have both moved up a notch. Any ideas?

A couple of users have reported this problem and it was usually fixed by running the install again. However, there have been some version updates to the Visual Studio plugin which will help resolve or provide better information about the problem.
Please click the downloads tab on http://visualmicro.codeplex.com and run the install of version 1208.19. Before the install it is a good idea to uninstall the previous version of the "Visual Micro for Arduino" program in "Windows>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs"
tip: It doesn't matter if you have already upgraded and have probelms. You can "add/remove" uninstall anytime, then run the install again.
After installing visual micro, if you still have problems, then please let me know the dates and times of the dlls in the visual micro program folder. If you don't know where the folder is located then you can see the location in visual studio, tools>options>visual micro>version>assembly.

I hope you manage to get it working. If you can find a standard windows pc it would be better, windows 7 never crashes when running normally. Good luck, looking forward to your updates
Permalink Reply by Tim - Arduino for Visual Studio on August 27, 2012 at 9:44am Might have known you would be doing something clever :) If you get Visual Studio up and running then let me know and I'll try to help in any way I can with your "Learning to program APM" tutorials.
One Visual Studio feature that is very useful for all APM projects is the menu item called "Project>Show All Arduino Files". Clicking the menu item with an APM project open will include the sources of all the APM Libraries into the current project. Doing so does not break the compile but allows Visual Studio tools such as the "Class Explorer" to explorer the APM libraries.
Clicking the menu item again will remove the library sources from the project. This is a useful feature. It is off by default to prevent new users from accidentally editing library sources.

Permalink Reply by Tim - Arduino for Visual Studio on November 13, 2012 at 7:48am I think it was an installer issue. The more recent versions of vm have better version stamps on the files so I believe this problem would be fixed by an upgrade. .NET3.5 also needs to be present on the computer.
