Figured out, hardly.  I'm on my own with this.  I got it where I can calibrate the IMU and the 2 front motors will react in stabilize mode but the rear motor wont.  They all react to throttle but only in stabilize mode.  There's so many layers to it, I can only scratch the surface and that wont do it.

Wow you really got it figured out, I think I would be lost when it got that far into it

you never know tho we all seem to learn more everyday

I'll take another look at the mixing Jean-Luis used and see if there is a way to squeeze it into the ardupilot.  The ardupilot already reads channels and can pass a signal and it can even mix outputs.  It was the one thing I didnt try and it could be the easiest most logical way.

Well, I'm trying right now.  I added some mixing in the servo tab and it isnt working right.  I can atleast get the ESC's to arm, but the mixing doesnt work.  I can also change motor speed using the stick but none of it makes any sense.  I might go back to trying to send ordinary 4 channel control to the KK and let it do the mixing.  The problem with that was I couldnt arm the KK.  That might just be a matter of tweaking the min value for rudder.  it's a headache.

It sure would be nice if we could just dictate vocally (like startrek) to our computers and they could compile the code with the needed features we wanted, just think of the possibilties then!

I dont think I will get too much ahead of my level of understanding with this lol\

Im having a fun enough time working on one FC or APM at a time let alone working them in together

Nice Harry !!

I'm still learning the formatting of the code so I wouldnt attempt that just yet

My luck it would end up taking off and not stopping until it hit mars, if it took off at all :) I seem to get into things forcing myself to learn everyday

I have a Naze32 also I wonder if it would work in conjunction, It has more inputs/features than the KK , but im not too familiar with the coding

Charles, the 2.7.1 code would have to be adapted somehow to work with multirotors.  I was just thinking of trying this too.  I tried using the IMU as standalone controller and almost had it. Jean-Luis, one of the developers here, did it for the older IMU and I tried to port it to the new IMU.  I was very close, but it was a timing issue and I had no idea how to solve that.  It would studder and skip and try to flip it over.  I even tried using a KK board and ardupilot together.  I gave up on that too.

What I think might work is to add mixing to the 2.7.1 code.  It sounds easy enough, but I know things can go beyond my reach quickly.

Does anyone know If the legacy will work on a quad? if so what code file should be used?

just pondering using it on my HT-FPV quadcopter

I crash tested my raven the other day and must say that my wing kicks ass.  My raven tried to perch in a tree. The other reinforcements I made all held up good but I did crack the nose, which I'm in the process of repairing, as well as a couple other areas but all fixable and relatively quick and easy repairs at that.  I ended up with some really good FPV footage of the crash including my gopro smacking the road.  It took me about 5 minutes to find my gopro after the crash but it was still running. I do have a scratch in the bubble lens, but now I'm watching an ebay auction for a flat lens kit... overall it could have been much worse and I'll have some cool posts soon.
