I thought it was about time to start a U.K group, mainly due to the time difference between us and USA, so members can discuss their issues here and hopefully get the help they require sooner? Also it possible there is someone living not far away from yourself that you could swap ideas with and get first hand help and advice with your project.

Yes, Dean told me about it Dave, I was not even there and I was feeling that "rush" inside when things are not going the way they should be as I was hearing about it!
Comment by Dave on July 1, 2012 at 3:05pm It was a horrible thing to watch as it almost jack hammered refusing to turn off

sorry I should have said Octo, head was else where watching your video! (which I Know has 8 motors")

The APM and the tumble of the hexa..... the "double"...

Sorry Martin, what do you mean "Double"?
Octo should be O.K on Tuesday? Here it is on the first hover..
Mothership Pos Hold from Dean on Vimeo.

Dean I still can't get over the "double", have you get the Octo up and running again?
Martin.

Well I managed to fry my APM2 buy resting it on a carbon fiber plate whilst plugged in :( Silly mistake.. So have gone back to using a KK board for the time being. Its surpising how much easier it is to loop / flip and roll knowing you haven`t got £200 of flight controller strapped to your machine :) I never tried with the APM2, but think I will give it a go when and if my board is repaired?

Nice to hear it's all sorted. All the best with your first flight!
Comment by Luc van Helfteren on June 21, 2012 at 7:52am Yeah, I have subsequently realised that I hadn't soldered the 5v and gnd headers as at first I assumed that this was provided through the main block of headers. I will put these in this evening and I assume that this will solve the issue.

@Luc.. i guess you have checked the connections as thats the best place to start? Also did the board work when you purchased it, and you had a crash or something since?
