Comment by Christiaan van Vollenstee on August 15, 2012 at 6:37am Hello, this is realy nice diagram, but my one problem I have is that in the wings there are two servos for the aileron where does the second servo plug in to get the oposite effect needed to turn.

you need to use the "Y" connector included with the Bixler
Comment by Christiaan van Vollenstee on October 16, 2012 at 6:21am There is only 3 wires because I have a OSD version 1.0 and I don't connect 12Volts to it.
I add the solder blobs like it is explain in the Wiki to use only 5 volts.
The 3 wires on my drawing is, Gnd:Ground, Vin:Video Input, Vout: Video output.
Comment by Christiaan van Vollenstee on October 16, 2012 at 6:36am So in this case it would be better to connect the 3 12v points directly to each other?
And the 1 ground wire does it matter wich side of the 2 rows of six holes it is connected?
I don't have a clue since I don't use 12V on mine...
please read the wiki. Special instructions needs to be follow depending on the version of MinimOSD you have.
Comment by Finnius on October 16, 2012 at 10:36pm This is a great diagram, thanks!
I am getting a Bixler and this will be a great help.
Just wondering if it is better to run different systems off different batteries? Or all of one battery?
Cheers
Finnius. I would prefer to have a dedicated batterie for the VideoTX & OSD but a Bixler is quite small to have 2 batteries onboard. I have a MiniOSD version 1.0 and power it with 5v only. The second stage regulator from the MinimOSD boards earlier than V1.1 (my case) gets too hot on 12V video setups. But powering up the second stage of a MinimOSD V1.1 with 12 volts will eliminate noise produce by the servos.
Comment by bluethunder on November 20, 2012 at 2:19pm Christiaan, Which OSD do you have? v1.1 or earlier release if so did you figure out why your OSD burnt ?
Comment by Christiaan van Vollenstee on November 20, 2012 at 11:12pm I had the latest one in sold by 3DR, I think the bord does not like 12v power, it does get 5v power from the APM I recon its enough and as for the 12 volt, connect it directly to each other.
