Carbon Fiber struts capped by aluminum tubing now provide Botmite.com aircraft a stiffer, stronger wing able to take more turbulent atmosphere.

do the wings bend much on landing with this though?

Not really much bending as there are 3 solid carbon fiber rods basically bolted at center and two aluminum supports holding the wings front and aft.  I am considering adding a small solid CF support between the wheel supports to further brace it. However, a recent crash collapsed the both front and back landing supports having hit a curb.  The take-away is the aircraft is going to be much stronger but the calcs and approach to protecting this are not complete.
