Comment by Abe on August 25, 2011 at 6:38am Michael: PS. Globalhawk. Not reaper (they look very similar but the globalhawk has a larger wingspan)
Scotty: its an EDF motor+prop. I was looking at fabricating something like this as well but with a prop pusher at the back. This is a better replacement for that concept.

Comment by Brian Linger on February 2, 2012 at 6:23pm Actually Reaper, MQ-9, Globalhawk has a much different look/construction and is pure EDF.
Comment by Chris Card on March 13, 2012 at 12:25pm Have you done take-off & lands with the original wheels on grass? The wheels do seem a bit small for my liking.
I'm in the process of building an MQ-9 from Nitro planes.
Everything that they have glued seem to need extra more glue!
The aluminum tabs look too weak & too short for their function, so I got some 1/2" x 1/8" pultrude graphite rod to make two 6" long pieces that will span the fuselage width. I will install a T-nut into the graphite or a brass threaded insert and make them flush.
