Hi Stephen, a few questions about your Pic if I may:

1. What board do you have in there, APM?

2. what issuses did you have wrt a. vibration and b. EMI, and what did you do all to overcome this?

Reason for asking is that I am doing something similar, with a 50cc engine, and worried about vibration and interference from the ignition system.

Thank you

Wessie

We were using FeiyuTech.  Vibration was a huge issue.  We had to dampen the cameras, video transmitters, and the FeiyuTech comes with its own vibration-proof mount.  We destroyed a couple of good cameras with vibration.

If your motor is twin cylinder, that should be less vibration than a single.  I never noticed any interference from the ignition system.

Hey Stephen. I'm Chin, the Industrial Relations Officer from Robotics Association.... Embry-Riddle at Daytona Beach of course! I saw that you had a few questions in another post and I believe that we have a team of fixed wing guys in ERAU Daytona who might be able to answer your questions. Let me know if you'd like to get in touch with them.

That'd be great!  It's our first year as a team, and we could really benefit from your team's experience. raylec64@my.erau.edu

I wonder if a wankel engine would of reduced vibrations, never tried one before.
