wow. that thing looks like it is straight out of a Terry Gilliam film. or at least when it is finished maybe. Really cool. You doing that just for pretty or does it have a certain function?

oh, it's finished, for the moment. Quad Two was retired/shelved. I will resurrect it, when I have time, but to meet it's design goals, I needed to invalidate other goals. This is only the frame of Quad Two, underneath Quad Three (which was named Scrappy, because nearly every part, from the wood to the APM+oilpan were cast off/broken/extra/scrap parts from previous builds. Even the oilpan is a broken unit. 

 

Scrappy is actually my best flying quad, better even than my 3DR frame. I have other photos and might share them if you pester me enough ;)

 

I was put them together to provide a sense of the difference in size for someone who was interested.
