If you have a slow airspeed and high winds it could be that 30 degrees is not enough to bring it back to the track line. Quick question about missions. My searches didn't turn up the answer... Can you change missions during a flight? For example, if I'm flying FlightPlan1, could I hit "Load WP File" and load a new one and then click the "Write WPs" button to send it to the airplane over the telemetry link? BTW, I'm using Mission Planner 1.2 mav 1.0 with an xBee link.
