Quick question about missions.  My searches didn't turn up the answer... Can you change missions during a flight?  For example, if I'm flying FlightPlan1, could I hit "Load WP File" and load a new…Continue

Help with APM2 and V-tail (with mixer)

Started this discussion. Last reply by Fête Mobile Mar 26. 5 Replies

I'm trying to set up a v-tail plane with a new APM2 board.  Here's my history with the plane...1. Configured the plane as RC only and flew it with V-tail mixing in the radio.  Flew great.2. Added…Continue

"Hi Andy.  I finally got around to implementing V-Tail mixing in the AP2.68 firmware.  It would be great if other folks could test it out, so if you're still wanting to do V-tail mixing, you can find information on the thread I…"

"I don't have experience with this airframe, but the comment above about a v-tail mixer...I can comment on that. I purchased a FMA MX-80 V-tail mixer and a Great Planes V-tail mixer to use with my APM2 on a "Predator" ARF model. …"

"Maybe the default xtrack angle is too small. If you have a slow airspeed and high winds it could be that 30 degrees is not enough to bring it back to the track line. Maybe you could try increasing it to 45 for windy days and let us know if that…"

Airplane goes from Auto to Manual or RTL mode

General behavior question here...I've just had a few flights with Autopilot mode so far, and yesterday I got some strange behavior.  I've been trying to read up on it, but can't really find an answer.  Here's what happened. When navigating to a waypoint, the AV was heading generally north and the next waypoint was a good 1/2 mile almost directly to the south, so the AV was gonna need to make almost a 180 degree turn.  Wind aloft was about 10mph out of the west.  The AV hit the waypoint and made…See More

Change missions in-flight?

Quick question about missions.  My searches didn't turn up the answer... Can you change missions during a flight?  For example, if I'm flying FlightPlan1, could I hit "Load WP File" and load a new one and then click the "Write WPs" button to send it to the airplane over the telemetry link? BTW, I'm using Mission Planner 1.2 mav 1.0 with an xBee link. I'm assuming this is possible, but since it wasn't clearly spelled out in the wiki, I thought I'd ask before actually trying it out…See More
