Flight Modes report "unknown"

Stabilize & Alt Hold look like they work, but if I chose any other flight mode the HUD shows "unknown" when they are selected.Continue

For example... the flight mode list is HUGE.   But i have no idea what half of the modes mean?Also what does the Black line & Yellow line represent on the GPS map screen?  I understand the red…Continue

"Its done it on a couple different occasions.   Reconnecting doesn't seem to do anything. I am using Mission Planner 1.2.26 and MPNG 2.7R4 "
