UPDATE - Building your own flightcontroller using Arduino Mega 2560

Here's my update on the flight controller project i'm working on !!Testing my custom built hardware on my Quadrone V 2.3 (quadcopter :P )Currently running the Multiwii 2.1 software !!sensors used - BMP 180 (barometer) , MPU6050processing platform - Arduino Mega 2560Waiting for new sensors ( gps and compass ) !! once i get new sensors i am planning to customize the hardware to run the Megapirate firmware. Then ultimately try to run the Arducopter firmware on the flight controller with sensors of…See More

Hi Brosan,

i ma also a newbie , i began radiocontroled flying machine this year .

i built a plane and now a quadcopter (you can see photos) with no more experience

i could  make my first flight 4 times) without special tuning

now i have to tune it a little.

i use a arduflyer 2.5.2 with arducopter 2.9.1 and gps and telemetry

i think it's the best way using this to have a fonctionnal machine in fewer time

I like the Arducopter too but have some interest in the multiwii.  Got a powered glider waiting to be built.  Looking to make some films, try to get some work.

So, Hi, Brosan.

Broson:

Thanks for accepting my request.  While I have flown R/c for decades, I am new to autonomous aircraft.

My task is to set up everythong needed for CS students to learn about autonomous aircraft.  I have found the Arducopter, and plan to utilize that system, but must deliver a proposal to the Dean of Computing.  I need help with the list of items to buy.

I have a preliminary list.  Can you help me?

Hi Broson,

I am also a student at rockvalley college I have returned to get my second degree

in Manufacturing and would like to redesign a preditor style drone with and aluminum

fuselage and payload space for extra equipment. I have Autocad and Mastercam software and plan on purchasing a model drone for this purpose
