"Mine flies just fine with stock pid settings.  I'm able to do auto takeoff and landing without an air speed indicator.  If there is a bit of wind I may have to nudge the airplane a bit on autolanding. "

"Does any one have a config. file for the Apprentice  by eflight.    I have done some initial flights with stock setting and it flys ok at best.   S turns between waypoints are my biggest issue."

  I can restart the mission while the plane is inflight, it will go to waypiont 2 and fly the mission. No problems with this situation.  FYI   I have waypoint 1 set to autotake off.   So it should skip waypiont 1 while in the air I am assuming. The issue is after the plane does autolanding.  I  flip the mode swith to manual, and taxi the airplane back to me.  I then go to the computer and hit the restart mission in the amp planner.  The first waypoint in the mission is set to autotake off. …See More

"If it were losing your TX link, then it would appear to be a TX-initiated mode change, wouldn't it? And if so, would we see that in the logs? Perhaps we can start by looking at what is in the logs, yes?"

I have a issus I can not get my head wrapped arround.  I have done over 400  flights with the ardupilot in control.  I have perfected autotakeoff and landing, and everything else for that matter.  Everthing had been working flawlessly for months.  I have so much confidence with the system: I have even done some long flights,  while chasing it in a car.  I never let it get out of my visual range, incase something was to go wrong, I could take over and land it.  (thanks to my buddies convertable…See More
