"Hi Harley, Yep, THR_MID did the trick for me. I adjusted it to about 400 and it did the trick. Had it in a pretty stable hover for about 8 minutes. It's a little bit twitchy but I should be able to tune this out.... some how.  Chris"

"I am using 2832 1000kv motors and 3s 2200 batteries on an aluminum frame. If the dead zone adjustments in 2.9.1 work you might check to see how much throttle you are using to hover. It may well be below the dead zone also!"

"Hi Chris-Today I checked my throttle setting to hover and found that I am hovering at about 23% throttle, which is very low and well below the dead zone in the program. I have seen that when hover throttle is below dead zone, the quad will descend.…"

3DR connection between PC and Module not working

Hi all,I thought I would throw up a post in relation the connection issues I had with my 3DR and the PC while using the FTDI cable. Straight out of the box I found (eventually) that the FTDI cable was wired incorrectly. To put it simply the  orange and yellow wires were transposed. The colour code should be;BlackBrownRedOrangeYellowGreen Hope this helps ChrisSee More

Hi Chris-Today I checked my throttle setting to hover and found that I am hovering at about 23% throttle, which is very low and well below the dead zone in the program. I have seen that when hover throttle is below dead zone, the quad will descend. I loaded the 2.9.1 firmware this afternoon and it appears that the throttle_mid is adjustable and I may be able to set my dead zone down where it belongs. I will post when I get the quad set up again and can try the altitude hold.
