Hi all,I've been out of the game for a few months and just got round to installing 3.0.1. Testing it out today in the back yard it seemed to work fine until I switched to Alt-Hold. In Alt-Hold mode…Continue

Glitching logs

Started Nov 30, 2012 0 Replies

I seem to be getting a lot of glitches showing up in my logs. I'm running 2.8.1 on my APM2. The glitches are most noticeable in the GPS entries, with dodgy Lat/Long values, but they appear in other…Continue

"Hi all, Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but I have done the same mistake as the OP...I fed 12V to a Gopro H3 Silver through an OSD.. I opened it and the board is obviously different, and I cannot seem to find burnt components. All the camera…"

"We're back to lots of rain here again.  You may have seen the news about the mudslide up here.  So no flying for a while. 1.2/1.3 does NOT play well with 2.4.  I usually fly FPV with quads (I have 13 of them) and I can tell you…"

"I have an update if your interested. I took it for another flight, this time got nice and high so as to give some room to move if something went wrong. Had a nice flight for 5 or so minutes - beautiful handling on the bixler. Nudged the nose down…"

"You had the same thing happen! Creepy! I saw a video of a guy flying a Bixler online, he was flying into the wind, wham!, it nosedive 50ft or so into the ground just like mine did. He thinks it was the wind and not enough throttle? I have a sorta…"

"It's funny, Friday evening I had a similar experience.  I was flying along quite nicely, about 20ft off the ground, getting ready to land, and my craft suddenly did a steep straight down dive into the ground.  I broke a wing and the…"

"Hello again, I took my Bixler out for another FPV flight today. I have had a few very successful flights - good landings, handles well etc. But this time after takeoff when i got to about 50 feet, i nudged the nose down level and then it plummeted…"

Bruce Jones replied to Christopher Cooper's discussion Failed on my first RC flight - any tips for a newbie?
"Yeah, full throttle is too much, that will cause you problems.  You most likely want 1/3 to 1/2 throttle in my experience.  Gentle works better than forceful. Why a stabilizer and an APM?  The APM is fun - I have one in one of my…"

"Thanks, Im thinking it must be because i launched it with full throttle. It has a 1400kx with a 7x4 prop - just changed it to a 7x5. So i think mabye on full throttle - with the downward thrust of the Bixler motor mount it was pushing it into the…"

"If the CG was right, it sounds like your trims may have been off.  It definitely should not nosedive - it should glide down on a fairly gentle slope.  If I give a nice throw on mine, I easily get a 40' to 50'  (15 m) glide.…"

Hi thanks for dropping the line. Well I have one more doubt. Can I make 10x4.7 prop to 8x4.7 prop by measuring and cutting carefully the ends?
