Glitching logs

Started Nov 30, 2012 0 Replies

I seem to be getting a lot of glitches showing up in my logs. I'm running 2.8.1 on my APM2. The glitches are most noticeable in the GPS entries, with dodgy Lat/Long values, but they appear in other…Continue

"We're back to lots of rain here again.  You may have seen the news about the mudslide up here.  So no flying for a while. 1.2/1.3 does NOT play well with 2.4.  I usually fly FPV with quads (I have 13 of them) and I can tell you…"

"Yeah, full throttle is too much, that will cause you problems.  You most likely want 1/3 to 1/2 throttle in my experience.  Gentle works better than forceful. Why a stabilizer and an APM?  The APM is fun - I have one in one of my…"

"If the CG was right, it sounds like your trims may have been off.  It definitely should not nosedive - it should glide down on a fairly gentle slope.  If I give a nice throw on mine, I easily get a 40' to 50'  (15 m) glide.…"

"It all depends on how heavy it is, what motor you're running, what ESC you have, what propellers you've mounted and if you have any headwind. Since I wrote the post above, I've really gotten in the habit of doing a glide test before…"

"Yup, had a chance to look at the logs now. This is THR_MID. He's hovering at about 75%, so his machine is a bit underpowered. Setting THR_MID to 740 will help, but some weight reduction would be a good idea."

"have you set THR_MID? if your THR_IN is graphed with the axis on the right, then it looks to be higher than the default 500. That would cause the copter to climb in alt hold"

What's wrong with my Alt-Hold? (logs attached)

Hi all,I've been out of the game for a few months and just got round to installing 3.0.1. Testing it out today in the back yard it seemed to work fine until I switched to Alt-Hold. In Alt-Hold mode the just kept wanting to climb until I switched it back to stabilise.I've attached logs from two of the flights where this has occurred. Below is a graph showing the behaviour (taken from 2013-08-10 00-16 1.log). For some reason the WPAlt keeps increasing while Alt-Hold is engaged, but I can't figure…See More

Hi thanks for dropping the line. Well I have one more doubt. Can I make 10x4.7 prop to 8x4.7 prop by measuring and cutting carefully the ends?
