My question is the APM 2.0 and APM planner capable of controlling my bird? Four servos control the pitch of each rotor and the esc will run in the constant RPM mode.Right now, I have the servos…Continue

"Yes, but the problem is none of the ESC's people are using, creating, and hacking for multi-rotors will work with high voltage.  My heli is 8S, and that's low, most helis run 12S now. That's why I'm designing a more…"

"R If you want to get a real accurate RPM controlling ESC the ESC32 would probably be the way to go. Bill Nesbit said he thought it could work if the PID settings were adjusted for RPM control.  Larry"

"Dan, let me know how that goes with the governor.  Some work well, some don't.  I have a 40A K-force on my little heli, and the governor and soft start work well.  On my big heli, I have a SuperBrain 100A.  The soft-start…"

"Dan  A year ago I ordered a few heli ESC and I found one that worked OK.  Most ESC with RPM control are not very good.  Just test one ESC with a VPP on the motor and you'll be able to hear how well they work. Larry"

"Yes, the rotors turn in the standard quad directions. Two rotors CW and two CCW, opposing rotors the same direction. On my first attempt, I am going to try the governor mode of the ESC's. If that fails will need some pitch/throttle curve…"

"Ken, what do you want to do for motor RPM speed control?  Are you going to use an ESC with a governor?  Or do you just want to run it wide open?  Or you can run a collective-pitch-to-throttle curve."
