Dave C replied to Matt Gunn's discussion GRID V2 does not work. Developers, Please Read.
"I'm sure the devs are not ignoring this, they are just very busy and most of them are devs in their spare time and for free. This is opensource 'DIY' after all.  I'd love to help but I'm no programmer, i would suggest…"

Dave C replied to Trent Reeder's discussion Platform for Aerial Photography
"Two questions really. 1. How much area do you need to cover? This relates to how long you need to be in the air and how fast you have to travel. 2. How much have you go to spend? I will elaborate when i hear your budget ;) Maybe give us an idea of…"

Dave C replied to Felix P's discussion Apm 2.5 and some less wanted behavior .
"First of all what are you powering off your APM? And how is it powered? Do you have any servos connected, are they powered from the APM's rail? Those dji motors will not take that sort of abuse - you can run them on 4s and 10" if you…"

Dave C replied to Craig Elder's discussion APM Copter 2.9.1.b has been released
"There is a parameter in the advanced list (i forget what it's called now but its obvious) that delays the start up of the telemetry for a specified number of seconds. This should solve your problem.  I use 5 seconds and I've only had…"

Dave C replied to Craig Elder's discussion APM Copter 2.9.1.b has been released
"Yes RAW has be renamed IMU. Try reinstalling MP using the msi. That usually fixes any probs I've had with it."

Dave C replied to Craig Elder's discussion APM Copter 2.9.1.b has been released
"Yeah, I've had this too. I post videos with music, youtube bitches at me and disables the video for about an hour. Then the restrictions magically disappear and the vids become available. Maybe it's due to my awful taste in music ;)"

Dave C replied to Craig Elder's discussion APM Copter 2.9.1.b has been released
"Agreed, leave the crashing to the development and testing teams. The beta releases should only been flown by experience APM users who are fully aware of the risks. I for one love it when i have an unexplained crash (very rare these days) or…"

Dave C commented on Joshua Ott's blog post Thirty days of Awesomeness (#3): FollowMe test.
"To clarify, what i should have said was 'one could even walk the course, without clicking channel 7 at every deviation from a straight line.' "

Dave C commented on Joshua Ott's blog post Thirty days of Awesomeness (#3): FollowMe test.
"Yes thanks Hughes, I've been using that for a long time now. What i want to see is an upgrade, where a new path can be set with the tablet on each run, it would still be a live follow, but along the course, rather than cutting corners. I…"

Dave C commented on Joshua Ott's blog post Thirty days of Awesomeness (#3): FollowMe test.
"Arthur, good question, I'm full of ideas, and little else!  Would it be possible for a new follow me mode to be introduced, called 'follow this track' or something where the ground station logs a waypoint every second or so, and…"

Dave C replied to Alberto Mennella's discussion Compass problem
"Yes this is a bug, i think it's being sorted. For now, in terminal/setup, type 'enable compass' first (i think that's what it is, not got kit to hand) then run the test. "

Jim White replied to Dave C's discussion Arducopter Tuning Guide

"Yes, you can recover the PID from an old .log file. When you open the log file (text file) you will see your PID somewhere starting with line 70 in your .log file. Not sure about tlog, since this is binary file."
