"What about setting other Modes via Mission planner?  I have a momentary toggle an a 2 position switch.  So I can only set 2 modes via my TX.  I do have telemetry, an Mission Planner on a Netbook, but have had no success that I can…"

"Sorry , i forgot to give feedback. Channel 7 RTL set in MP does override any flight mode you are in and RTL will be activated. if you switch it off, you return to your previous flight mode."

"What ever came of this?  I am trying to set the Flight Mode of my APM 2.5 via Mission Planner connected over Telemetry.  Can not tell if the mode changes from what the mode switch is set too.   John"

"Thanks for the quick responses. I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one trying to get this figured out. It makes sense that your last input would be the primary mode. I figured for FPV flying with my quad its mode 1 = stabilized mode, mode 2…"

RTL Set-up

About a month ago there was a RTL set-up on the configuration screen. It allowed you to set the altitude you wanted your quadcopter to climb to when RTL was engaged, the speed it would return to the launch point, and what altitude it would go to once arriving at the launch point. If you put 0 it would land. Now this setting is no longer there. I understand how to make adjust these settings in Auto mode but I would like to have this as its own RTL mode so when I'm flying FPV I can have it climb…See More
