APM2 Code 2.4 - Throttle problems

Hi all,I really could use some help here....As of today, the throttle is not working on either APM2 boards.I shall refer to them as B1 and B2 for simplicity....Before today, i have flown both boards, but with serious GPS problems, navigation was vague, ok got to the bottom of that issue and today i thought i would try to fly, now knowing that the GPS is playing ball as it should.Ok...B1, hooked it into my test ship, (known airframe that up to today i have been flying the original AP in with no…See More

Firstly I wish to convey my highest appreciation to all the developers and members of this community.

For those who do not know us, i wish to make a small explanation as why i am posting this.

Im my/our line of work, i/we have worked (and still do when required) on high end Mil spec UAV/UAS, and we wanted to do a mission not dissimilar, to what is required in real world situations.

This is the…

Hi All,

Been hanging around here for quite a while now and gleaning as much information as i can, maybe its time to give something back.

One of the biggest problems we found was that when in the field, its hard to get all the information where you need it, re-sizing all the windows, if you touch the pad, you can lose the window you want, always the GS, hard to find the pointer to bring it back, when you have one eye on the… Continue

HI Earl,

Thanks, now having a read through, trying to compare the setups...

Interstingly, the divider is 100, code is similar, so how can APM be summet else? more importantly, where is the code dealt with in the first place, are we only dealing with the symptoms...not the cause....

Logic would dictate that as we are using the same code base, same GPS (so alt readings will be very similar, done the same way, one would think), that the output readings shoudl be the same...my problem is that since we moved busines, testing at weekends is harder, and constent distraction makes it very hard to digest the new code...

I guess that a test flight is required to get a base setting, see if what changes we have made, correlate to real reading or if its reading true and we will be flying at some daft alt..preferably not into the deck!

What are your thoughts?

Mike.

Doc,
I've been a lot less active since we last converged... My wife had to go an let all the stuff on her farm die... Seems that acute pancreatitius will cure a person of obsessive farmville disorder, but the effects are only temporary, and farmvilletitis will creep back into everyday activity...

I see the same old questions about setups so I still want to try to get something we can use as a resource for the DIYDrones community put together.
