Dror Caspi replied to Randy's discussion ArduCopter 2.9 released
"Bad luck? It's not bad luck, it's simply a software bug. I'm not criticizing the developers, we're all human and we all make mistakes. But luck has nothing to do with it. Thanks for all the hard work! Dror"

Dror Caspi replied to John Dell's discussion Naza M vs. APM 2
"I guess your basic assumption is that s/w if free (as in "no cost") and all the cost is in the h/w. Obviously in this most of the investment of the vendor is in the s/w.  You don't need to look to far, just take the APM as an…"

Dror Caspi replied to John Dell's discussion Naza M vs. APM 2
"So What ?? You get functionality X for Y dollars.  A vendor has every right not to sell you functionality X+1 unless you pay Y+many dollars. It's their product, you always have the choice to buy the competitor's product. I don't…"

Dror Caspi replied to John Dell's discussion Naza M vs. APM 2
"Sorry but I disagree.  Naza has no competition when what you want is a very stable platform with a good failsafe RTL and autolanding.  Most people want exactly this and don't need waypoints!  At $400 no other solution comes…"

"You may get what you need by playing with channel mixing in your tx.  E.g., when rolling the tx can apply some yaw so the end effect is similar to what you would get in a plane."

Dror Caspi replied to Dimitri's discussion Weird behavior of APM1(2560) radio/ppm - channel 6
"I also have a similar problem with channel 6 on APM1.  In the calibration screen it shows a fixed value (don't remember if it's 1500 or 900). To find the cause of the problem, I swapped cables with channel 7 at the receiver.…"

"Check ALT HOLD mode first.  My experiece (with 2.7.1, haven't tried 2.7.3 yet) with a rather heavy quad is that I needed to increase Throttle Rate IMAX.  Otherwise the quad would just sink and never be able to stabilize altitute. Dror"
