APM2 - How to pass a CPPM channel through to another output?

Started this discussion. Last reply by GearType Mar 1. 6 Replies

Previously, I was using a receiver that had 7 channels running into the APM individually and 1 running to a separate arduino that I use to control custom camera trigger and mode functions (selected…Continue

May be a problem with APM 2 Camera Gimbal Code - Help please

Started this discussion. Last reply by GearType Dec 22, 2012. 1 Reply

I've changed this message like 5 times as my results are difficult to find patterns in. I've done just about everything I can think of to get my gimbal to level at each end and center, but I have not…Continue

Custom Arduino Code - add to APM or external?

Started Nov 5, 2012 0 Replies

I've put together some arduino code for triggering my camera.Should I keep this code isolated from the APM on it's own arduino board, or can I add it to the APM? I am only using one input and one…Continue

APM-2 + Ecilop Easy?

Started this discussion. Last reply by GearType Oct 15, 2012. 1 Reply

Is the APM2 compatible with the Ecilop Easy in regards to the external gyro gimbal control? I have never used the external gyros but am looking into this frame. Compatibility with APM2 is a major…Continue

"Interested. I've been tuning an APM Ecilop for awhile. It's flying well but have had an issue with the gimbal hunting/twitching a bit against my gyros. Is your dead zone code used to keep the gimbal more steady at the center?"

Bill Bonney replied to GearType's discussion APM2 - How to pass a CPPM channel through to another output?
"The impedance on the Arduino is very high, so you can simply just connect the CPPM signal line to the other Arduino. It would only react to the signal for CH1. It should be straight forward."

APM2 - How to pass a CPPM channel through to another output?

Previously, I was using a receiver that had 7 channels running into the APM individually and 1 running to a separate arduino that I use to control custom camera trigger and mode functions (selected via a PWM switch mix).I just changed to a new receiver and am outputting all channels (1-8) to the APM on 1 signal line with CPPM.So, everything is great except I am not sure how to pass that 1 channel through to my other arduino now.Ideas? Basically what I need is the gimbal shutter control…See More

"You posted awhile ago, but still to follow up, you need an RC filter plus voltage divider for PWM RSSI to analog. See this link : http://code.google.com/p/minoposd/wiki/AnalogRSSI"

GearType replied to John Dell's discussion Naza M vs. APM 2

GearType replied to GearType's discussion May be a problem with APM 2 Camera Gimbal Code - Help please
"Interesting that aside from all this, adjusting the servo limits wider than the values I read does have an effect on the gimbal. Still, I cannot find a way to get leveled in both directions and at center."
