APM2 w/ 3DR power module displaying wrong voltage

Started this discussion. Last reply by Glenn M May 4. 3 Replies

I've just loaded new firmware on to my APM2.5 and restored my saved parameters for this setup, but the voltage reading is displaying lower than it really is. Eg mission player will display 16.2V when…Continue

Altitude drop after forwards or backwards movement in ALT HOLD

Started this discussion. Last reply by Randy Apr 29. 6 Replies

I've got a problem with my copter where it will drop in altitude, following a forward or backwards movement. It will recover back to the original altitude once I stop. The drop is generally around a…Continue

Flying close to HV power lines

Started this discussion. Last reply by Josh Potter May 11. 8 Replies

Does anyone have experience flying in close proximity (within 4 metres) to High Voltage power lines? Specifically 110kv towers.I have read that the lines can output a certain amount of RF, but I'm…Continue

Tightening up Yaw

Started Mar 23 0 Replies

I'm running a quad, and I notice that my yaw can and does drift a little quite often. Eg if I take off and loiter, the heading will sometimes drift around by as much as 15 degrees.I would like to…Continue

"I am new to this, and am wondering the same thing...I connect at 115200 using the USB cable directly into the APM 2.5, but then 57600 when connected via 915mhz telemetry. So the questions remains...what re the pros and cons to 115200 on the…"

APM2 w/ 3DR power module displaying wrong voltage

I've just loaded new firmware on to my APM2.5 and restored my saved parameters for this setup, but the voltage reading is displaying lower than it really is. Eg mission player will display 16.2V when the true voltage is 16.6V.I have it set in mission planner to:Monitor 4: Voltage & CurrentSensor 4: 3DR Power ModuleAPM Ver 2: APM 2.5 - 3DR Power ModuleIs there a way to fix this? I've tried setting the voltage divider differently in the advanced parameter list, but it looks like this setting…See More

"Actually i think so yes.  I jumped to the software solution but actually it's a physical problem so a physical solution to equalize the pressure above and below the copter is perhaps best."

Here's a little video I've put together from the recent Burning Man, which is a week long ~50,000 person arts festival held in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada.

I shot it using my small homemade tricopter with a hard mounted gopro using FPV.
