5/19/08 - I received my airplane today. It is a Tower Trainer Mk40 ARF. Its a 5 lb beast with a 61" wingspan. Nitro Powered. $170 shipped, assuming you already have all the radio equipment, servos and all. I have decided to get the FMA Co-Pilot for two reasons: To help me learn how to fly the plane, and to later base my Autonomous flight on it. The reason I chose FMA Co-Pilot is because it seems to be the way to go for someone who cannot afford an IMU yet is just as reliable as one. I hope to later find a way to hack it so that I can retrieve the orientation of my plane from it. I was informed (In this thread) that retrieving the orientation is probably possible with some extra equipment.
