Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
In the early days I programmed small roboters on wheels in Java. With the programming of the AR.Drone from Parrot I entered in the field of flying robots. For getting experiences I built the APM 1 on an extended tiny QuadPod kit from Snelflight, UK.
At this point, could you send me some pictures of the wiring that you are using with the storm drone and APM? I am trying to figure out how to connect everything and if any additional wiring/components are needed outside of what the storm drone currently has. I am particularly interested in the ESC's and how to wire the APM for power. I have read the wiring instructions and I am unsure which type of ESC's the drone uses. I am fairly confident that I can use the wiring specification for a separate power board as shown in the Wiki instructions. Also can I use the original radio controller? I have the DEVO 7 controller that came with the original set up.
Hopefully once it is up and running I can begin tuning as well. Further how well does the take off, way point, and landing work on the Storm Drone.
Wow, thanks for all of the help Hans. Can you tell me if you used the attached schematic to wire your storm drone or the other schematic? Also, did you use the "Power Module" that came with the APM? Thanks!
