Hi...i am working with arduimu v3 ....what i found was that the heading values doesnt change by actual amount on rotating the board .If i turn it by 90 degress , heading may change only by 45-50…Continue

"Hi, In physics as I know it, distance is the double integral of acceleration. You might have to use one of the old methods, like an optical mouse/flow sensor or distance measuring wheels.. Regards Soren"

"Hi, I think nobody has ever gotten location by double integration of acceleration to work with other than very expensive hardware.. Regards Soren"

Hi ,I am using arduIMU v3 . Can anyone please suggest how to convert acceleration values to corresponding distance values. I tried using basic one d= (ax)*t*t,since i am concerned only with movement in x direction and t as 0.125 seconds coz i record 8 observations per second . But the accuracy of above method varies with  speed of operation and many a times becomes completely unacceptable. If possible please do upload a sample Excel file. HimanshuSee More

"I would not power down the GPS because it may take a while before it gets a fix again. Sometimes several minutes depending on the conditions. The power consumption of the GPS is very small (only 37mA) and would have no discernable impact on flight…"

"On keeping the magnetometer off ,there is drift is gyro(yaw)readings....any idea how to encounter this drift ...?? what changes do i need to put into the code if i want my gps to take readings periodically ...i.e switch on the gps ..take readings…"
