"You'e got it right. You can dedicate the Rx line to the GPS and use the Tx line for something else. That's what we do with the original ArduPilot: Rx is GPS and Tx is telemetry to Xbee."

Hello,If I don't wish to change the default configuration of the EM-406a, do I need to hook up the RX line?I have two serial devices, one that only receives, and one that only transmits, EM-406a.  Can I hook the MCU RX to one device and the TX line to the other? The alternative is adding a MUX, but I would like to avoid this.Baud rates will be the same.Goal is to build a GPS eval board before I start playing with anything major.There is a wealth of information on this site, if anyone has any…See More
