Changed the code on the OpenLRS RX so it only changes channel 3 (throttle) to the saved failsafe value. Works fine now."

I have configured failsafe on the OpenLRS RX so it centers all rudders and sets throttle to 0%. Channel 3 shows 1100 uS when radio is on and throttle off (full throttle is approx 1900 uS).
