New 3DR FTDI cable inop; are these problematic?

Started this discussion. Last reply by Falcon Aug 15, 2013. 1 Reply

I just received a genuine 915 MHz air module and recommended FTDI cable from 3DR but it appears to be inoperative.  I've tried it with two genuine 915 MHz air modules from 3DR and get no green LED…Continue

Can I operate more than 2 servos with APM 2.5?

I need 16 channels of RC control for my surveillance rover (flood lights, IR lights, vTx On/Off, camera select, cam PT&Z, plus more).  Seven channels are gimbals and pots while the other nine channels are relays and a video source switch.I'm using a DragonLink and a PPM Encoder to get 12 channels, and verified I can use A10 & A 11 for two RC Relays via the APM 2.5 and 3DR 915mHz Telemetry. Is there any way to control more servos through the Telemetry?  I see seven servos listed on the…See More

Best GPS for wooded areas

Hello All,I am using the uBlox LEA-6 v1.1 I bought from 3DRobotics two years ago.  It gets good lock in the open, but it can take over five minutes to get a lock in the woods, and most of my property is wooded.  And the lock is very fragile as it looses lock quite often.  I think I need a better unit.Currently testing on a Traxxas Summit but will ultimately be used on a big, steel, 150 lb. skidsteer rover with (I'm sure) a huge EMF signature as it has two powerchair motors, 2x SLA batteries,…See More
