Forgive the newbie question but I'm a bit confused on how to hook up this receiver to my apm2.  I have the Hitec Aurora 9 Tx and purchased it with the Optima 7 Rx.  The Optima appears to have male…Continue

APM not able to connect, help a newbie!

Hi there!  I'm quite new here, so here's what I've done so far.  I successfully uploaded firmware initially and configured my 3DR quad fully.  I had a few successful flights which were great and then upon changing lipos today, the quad stopped working.  The symptom was the ESCs beeping at regular intervals.  I brought it home to diagnose and cannot get Mission Planner to connect to it through USB (which it has always done successfully before).  I've tried lowering the baud rate to 57600, even…See More

"Right. Except I've bought three different Tx/Rx sets in the past and none have come with female-female type servo leads. One did have several servo extensions though. Nevermind though, I'm pretty sure I have some dead servos around, I…"

"Normally, you would receive 4-5 of these with your RX and TX purchase, as they are needed to connect servos and motors to the RX in a plane/copter without APM.  Basically: to fly without APM you need these cables, they come with your radio…"

hitec optima 7 Rx with apm2?

Forgive the newbie question but I'm a bit confused on how to hook up this receiver to my apm2.  I have the Hitec Aurora 9 Tx and purchased it with the Optima 7 Rx.  The Optima appears to have male pins, but I think that where it wants to plug into the apm2 to get power is also male pins.  Can anybody help me out?  Thanks so much!  (I can provide pics if necessary!)-joeSee More
