"Bill, can you comment on where you got your props for this unit you sold?  The stock Y-6 comes with the plastic 10" 4.7 on top and the 11" 4.7 on the bottom, but I have not found a good place to get these yet.....please comment! …"

"We are trying to figure out which propellers to upgrade to as well, but were more interested in a carbon fiber solution for durability.  The props that come with the Y6 break quite easily.  In one case, the copter landed and fell forward…"

"I am interested in the same subject.  I have played with some of the bulkier security cameras like the FOSCAM FI9821W HD Wireless Indoor IP Camera.  This camera is good for transmission/distance testing, but is bulky for a remote vehicle,…"

"Edgar, I agree with you on the 2 cameras.  This is likely the way I will go since you can get a FPV camera at about 25g weight.  I would definitely record the transmitted video at the ground station, but the second camera on board would…"

Edgar Scott replied to JohnD's discussion FPV discussion - transmitters, receivers, etc.
"Most people want 2 cameras because the one that needs quality shot is on the gimbal, and the one you want to fly with is your smaller camera with the OSD for your data. But if all you want is one use the fatshark and a portable recorder here…"

FPV discussion - transmitters, receivers, etc.

I was surprised that there is no specific category for the subject of FPV, so I am using Aerial Photography instead.  I am interested in aerial video recording, but need to have a FPV as well.  I hoped there would be a camera that could do both, something that could record and output real time video that could be transmitted at the same time.  The other option is two cameras.  I would like to hear comments on that, but my real question is I was hoping to get some comments on a good light weight…See More

JohnD replied to Neil Baker's discussion Point and shoot camera with video out?
"Mike, Although I have not used this camera myself, it seems to be rated pretty well.  I wonder if you can play with the settings to "handle" the motion.  The higher the shutter speed the better for motion, so you can lower your…"

"Neil, thanks for sharing your progress. Regarding the ISO setting, auto mode versus manual mode settings.  The ISO setting I would set as high as possible, on this camera I believe it is 3200.  These sensors will be able to handle the…"

JohnD replied to Neil Baker's discussion Point and shoot camera with video out?
"Neil, I am researching this same topic for my quad copter or it appears to be the same.   In my case I would like to have more control over the camera remotely than taking a picture using a remote trigger (gentLED) or programming it before…"
