"Ryan, at this high speed, we will need a high refresh rate for the GPS and with a high amount of locked signals for safety reason alone and accuracy. I don't even want to figure out how to program for it. An awesome find that's for sure."

I went to the store today and got me a nice controller. So now, my feet are totally wet. I'm in it for the long haul now.Man, never knew that building a PT40 Trainer Kit is so tough and time consuming, I'm no where close to finishing it. It's getting late, nearly 4am here. I best be going to bed soon. I will be sharing my pictures and then after the maiden flight - I hope to add the ArduPilot into the plane soon.:D I'm off to sleep.See More

"Well, I'm new around here but I think I can answer most of the questions that you have. I'm sure more of the veterans will be chiming in. Theoretically, you could do a 3G Device or even better an EVDO device (basically US is entirely EVDO…"

"Chris, thanks for sharing that. Alright I think 50Hz is plenty fast still, even at near 200 MPH. Robero, that probably would be safe :D The last thing we want to have is an UAV flying at 200MPH struggling to keep its course."

"That's one fast little bugger. Chris - wouldn't the hardware be capable of polling at a higher rate of say, 500Hz or even 1Hz however if the software is capable of running that fast or not is another matter."

"As seeing that I'm deaf myself, perhaps it would be great that the podcast could be transcribed if it's not a bother. And I'm fairly new around here, I'll just sit around and stifle through the threads :D A great site by the way."

Then, I will be working on constructing an UAV from…See More
