"I marked each of the arms with the output number (1-4), the rotation direction and wether or not its a pusher or a puller, with a black indelible marker. Makes it faster to get that right when putting the props on."

I flew the quad for a good 10 minutes, changes the battery and played around hovering.I flicked the CH5 switch to go from Stabile to Loiter.Immediately, the craft flipped over and burrowed in to the ground.I broke a motr, a motor mount and a prop. Man that was fast  :) Rebuilding tonight, but will be wary of that switch...Does the craft need sonar for that to work corretcly?See More

"Sorry to disagree but the gyros don't need to be level to be initialized. They just need to not move when the copter is armed. You need to be level when initializing the accelerometers which is done only at setup or if you have a drifting issue…"

Setting "Level"

I can see that the initial setting of level is important in flight. Makes sence. But how are you establishing that the craft is indeed at a level state? I bought a "bulls eye" level and mounted it on the top deck of the craft and I lift and lower till its dead center, then set the level in the software. Once set, do I need to set the craft in this manner prior to arming, prepping for flight?  See More
