"Nice looking drones, the brackets and motor mounts are very pro looking. Id like to get some. Of course Delta Drones rents them out under contract, so probably not a realistic option. "

"Correct me if I'm wrong, I read somewhere having flight controller above props provide greater stability. Most probably, this design has that! (can't see where FC is positioned, I assume at the top). "

Drones & Football

What have drones & football in common you could ask... Well, some clever French guys (http://www.deltadrone.fr/) dropped the game ball in front of 20.000 people with their drone. Good initiative to show the wide public drones can be friendly too. Nice model.    See More

"Correction, it's not that legal in Europe to fly such drones. In Belgium for example it's just NOT legal to go to a place and throw the drone into the air. You'll need to do some paperwork beforehand and wait to get a permission.…"

"Well you're not far off...you do need a pilot's license and a minimum of 100 hours as a pilot in order to fly drones.  On top of that plenty of paperwork...but it's been done ;o)"

"This is nice to hear, the plane does not look specialized though from my observation. Looks very much like my swift comp. glider frame made of carbon. So I wonder what under the hood made the difference?"

This is a big step towards the legal use of drones I believe. I never heard of this company but it seems they've been working hard with a nice focus. Nice design too with the small exchangeable 'sensor' bay. More info on the certification can be fount at …See More

Interesting development. The company behind the Parrot AR drone is investing in Sensefly and Pix4D. What can we expect? When will our kids be making ortho's with their smartphones?
