Reference-able hardware list?

Started this discussion. Last reply by Maki Nov 7, 2012. 1 Reply

I think it would be helpful to those who follow along in the future if we were to list out our hardware for comparison and tuning.  It would give newbs a place to work from in terms of design,…Continue

Relay use?

I keep looking, but I cannot find a straight answer on how to use my r/c transmitter to control the onboard relay.  I enter CLI and go into setup- type 'tune 9' and it shows a change from 0 (.015) to…Continue

Pixhawk: Telem radio + bluetooth + OSD at the same time

Since I could not find any other threads regarding the issue of using all 3 wireless comms systems with the Pixhawk, here is my experience on that topic.I just created my own splitter cable to connect my bluetooth module with Tx & Rx and OSD with Rx only and plugged it into the telem2 port.  Telem1 port still powers the 900mhz radio.  Everything works fine so far.OSD shows all data, so does Bluetooth.  When I use either bluetooth or the radio system to change flight mode, the other device…See More

"SNARK ALERT: Hijack the thread into bashing 3DR and I'm missing the point?  LOL- I laugh at you. I bought into 3DR's vision many years ago with an APM 1.6- was never disappointed until I couldnt load new firmwarez onto it, but that is…"

"And today I changed the relay trigger circuit again... Clare Semiconductor (et al) makes a great 8 pin IC that houses a pair of optocoupled FET based switches.  It turns on at about 2v and 5ma so our 3.3v works great with a 330 ohm resistor to…"

"----> WORDS OF WISDOM, Learned the hard way. Don't get burned by Chinese knockoffs.  Too many components seem not to be rated the same as the original 3DR Pixhawk. The best way to cut cost is to cut corners. I got burnt recently and…"

"So I was just researching more on Pixhawk aux out current limits. I will be changing the input resistor on the 3.3v aux out line to the base of the transistor to a 330ohm  .I just found evidence suggesting that the aux out pins on the Pixhawk…"

PixHawk... Chinese clones, 3.3v aux switch & gratitude

Long time member, back again...I just ordered a *real* Pixhawk (I know, I know, -sigh-  should have done it right the first time...) after being burnt by a Chinese clone whose I/O side seems to have died suddenly. I tried everything I could find on the net to unbrick it, but alas, I accept what is to be... Get what ya pay for right? No warranty, no assistance, no replies to emails, no cares from the Chinese retailer, (a guy can hope right?) just another bunch of electronics destined for the…See More
