Double Backflip into the ground - APM 2.5

I was doing a quick test flight after a rebuild (crash due to lost signal and failsafe not setup) and all seemed well.  I was at the end of about a 5 min flight where I was going into and out of…Continue

Does anyone know why the 433 Mhz Telemetry kit comes with two "Air" modules unlike the 915 Mhz kit which has the "Ground" module with the built in USB.Is there some advantage to two air modules vs…Continue

Double Backflip into the ground - APM 2.5

I was doing a quick test flight after a rebuild (crash due to lost signal and failsafe not setup) and all seemed well.  I was at the end of about a 5 min flight where I was going into and out of Loiter and Alt Hold and had just come out of Alt hold into stabilize.  I started moving around again and suddenly from about 6' up it did a double back flip and into the ground. As soon as it started flipping I reduced the throttle to 0 but it didn't respond, and even after it hit the ground the motors…See More

Arm/Disarm Alerting

I have been doing some searching but haven't been able to find out if there is any alert options for when the copter is armed/disarmed.  Other controllers usually have some sort of sound when that state changes.  I know there is the one LED on the board and it would be nice to at least extend that to the top with a brighter LED, especially since my ardupilot is in a case inside my frame.Does anyone know of other options for alerts other than checking the ground station.See More

"It's because testing revealed noise problems on the USB "ground" module (only on 433, not 915), so it was not released, and instead two air modules are used. In the US, we recommend the 915 modules, which have the longest range and…"

3DR Radio Telemetry Kit - 433 Mhz Modules

Does anyone know why the 433 Mhz Telemetry kit comes with two "Air" modules unlike the 915 Mhz kit which has the "Ground" module with the built in USB.Is there some advantage to two air modules vs the ground?  At first I wanted to use the 433 because I am using a 900mhz video TX but that does not seem to be an issue (per other posts).  Are there advantages of one over the other (in the USA)?See More
