2.0.22

Started this discussion. Last reply by jasonshort Jun 5, 2011. 31 Replies

Just loaded and flown 2.0.22 on my standard quad.  Worked first time which is a relief - I couldn't get 2.0.20 to work. Can anyone suggest a reason why, when I flick into 'Loiter' the copter rapidly…Continue

2.0.17

Started this discussion. Last reply by Chris Barlow May 30, 2011. 17 Replies

I loaded 2.0.17 with the APM Planner and experienced something I've not seen before.  I flew for about 5 or 6 minutes, deliberately not touching the rudder to see if the quad would maintain its…Continue

Just loaded my standard '+' Quad with version 2.0.13 using the APM Planner. I didn't try 2.0.12 but since 2.0.11 I can tell there is a definite improvement in the yaw movement although I probably…Continue

Wessie replied to Nigel's discussion Definition of PID and other Variables
"Jorge, the PID values are not for a brushless motor per se, but more for the entire airframe as a whole. PID values control how the entire aircraft flies, so it depends on the frame you are using, the motors, the props, the battery weight, etc. "

"Hi Nigel,   Thank you for posting your profile. I see you have the same (problematic) FW version as me. Have you seen this blog HERE on this very subject? Martin seems to be very sure about the fact that the XBP24-B and XBP24-ZB does…"

"Hi John,   Would you mind posting your XBP24-ZB profile. I have no luck with the XBP24-B firmware.   On the bench they are able to communicate with each other, but when connected to the IMU it simply stops.(see attached document on my…"

"Hello Jason,    you talked about the D value and what it does, but in the PID tuning or ac2 setup you can't access it. I searched in the files but couldn't have any answer about the values used and how to change the D values. My…"

"One thing i found is that you don't need to enter to cli to use tune on ch6. You can find a parameter named tune in the list on ac2 and just put the good value from defines.h It works nice and once you have dialed the good value, just put tune…"

"I find the TUNE option in Cli is wery usefull. I never got Stabilize to work well until I tried the tune option. Then I could fly around while tuning P value using a potmeter on my radio. It turned out that I had to lower the P value much more than…"
