Hey community!I've been flying my Hoverthings HT-FPV successfully for the last 6 months and having a ball.I've however been saving up my pennies and purchased a 3D printer, and a CNC router unit to join my trusty old Laser engraver. I've bought these with making MR frames in and accessories in mind.I love throwing my TX, batteries etc in my back pack, and strapping the HT-FPV on the back, but have found more often than not I'm getting loads of undue attention from rubber-necking passers-by, and…See More

Tell us a bit about your UAV interest
After our recent earthquake I felt a real need for an intelligent, safe way to get into dangerous areas a take footage, assess damage etc. perhaps even save lives by searching for trapped survivors without risking collapses by SAR staff clambering on unsteady rubble. I also want to use my coming Arducopter for aerial videography of Hang gliding to get a unique view point.

Sonar mount on Pan/Tilt mechanism?

On my 3rd major rebuild of my custom-framed AC2 after losing her to strong wind (stupidity really) and I'm again relishing the opportunity to change further aspects of the design. I'm REALLY hanging to see the OSD integration the boys are working on (come one Jani, hook me up!!!!!). The thought occured…

Version 10 of my Custom Frame for AC2

Posted on October 1, 2011 at 4:30am 8 Comments

After several crashes my frame has finally evolved into something I'm fairly happy with. It uses all standard AC2 kit electronics, but custom built frame/arms, etc. It has a modular base so I can easily change out Camera mount for just plain, centralised battery mount. The camera mount has an offset battery…

Well, you're way ahead of me!  I'm still trying to work out the flysky 9x. Today I assemble a pushplane to practice RC. FPV looks like the biggest fun, I hope to get that far by the end of the year.  Will look forward to watching your progress. And yeah, those brains north of the equator are amazingly free with the advice. Sites like this restore one's faith in humanity!  Cheers.
