Pascal Fust replied to Jacob Apkarian's discussion Pitch Decoupled VTOL - Continuous Variable Transition
"I wonder where and how much you gain in flight performance and efficiency compared to a simple quadcopter. The flight trajectory displayed in the video seems more like a quad with a wing and not really like a FW."

"Second point, which is not completely clear to me: the product comparison sheet shows a flight time of 2 hours with the 23Ah LiPo, however the specs (of the EU version) states a flight time of 1 hour 50 minutes with the same battery. I…"

"Good news, congratulations, Sander! One question concerning the telemetry of the DeltaQuad: you mention a 4G data link, however, is there also any solution for areas without mobile network coverage, e.g. LR VHF or similar? "

Pascal Fust commented on Hein du Plessis's blog post VTOL by Arkbird
"My 5c about efficiency of transitional A/Cs: in terms of parasitic weight, I agree with you that this design is as minimalistic as possible, however the huge thrust needed for take-off and landing demands powerful motors and props, which are (often)…"
