Seeking Recommendations On A System To Purchase

I'm new to flying and am seeking system recommendations from experienced flyers before I purchase a system.I have a project on KickStarter for building/flying a hexarotor with kids on the autism spectrum.  We've hit our financial goal so I know we'll be moving ahead!  Central to what we want to do beyond just flying is GPS, flight planning/waypoints, and real-time FPV back to a laptop and possibly even glasses like the FatShark.  I want…See More

I'm looking for video of people experiencing FPV (either via watching the heads up display on a laptop and/or using goggles like the FatShark).  What would be even better is if that person then comments on what it was like.  Does anyone have video footage like that? I'd like to use the video in an update to my KickStarter project (Taking Autism To the Sky).  The project emphasizes the use of…See More

Tell us a bit about your UAV interest
I am interested in working with kids on the autism spectrum to build and fly quadrotors for several purposes; 1) as an opportunity to socialize with peers, 2) to see the world from a different perspective using mounted cameras, FPV and OSD, and 3) develop technical skills that may offer employment options down the road.

Joshua - Thanks for passing this along!  I hadn't seen it and it's very interesting.  I did some more digging on the authors of the research and intend to reach out to them.  Thank you!  I guess we all respond better when there is an intense level of engagement in the subject at hand right?  I hope to leverage that same issue when working with the hexarotor and our group of kids.  Purchasing equipment shortly!
