NTM 1000kv motors, 3S 3300mah battery and 30A esc. These are 11" props, but also tried my original 10" props, same thing. Total weight of the quad is 1.4kg and the thrust per motor should be around 0.8kg per motor."

Yes, i've swopped out the motor with another one, did the same thing. I then went and redid the CG, so it is spot on, but same thing with the motor, within seconds of flights it hot as hell.

"Did you swop the motor or put a new one in? The CG should be at the center of the quad, but if it's back both motors would have to work harder but the variation in heat should not be that great unless the balance is really out.

The ESC on that side also seems a bit hotter than the rest. Im using a seperate BEC for the power of the board etc, so disconnected the power cable on all ESC's.

"Motor binding somehow or bad motor? Motors get hot because they draw more current, usually because they're loaded up more and convert the extra power into heat. Sometimes a motor shorts inside and while it will still run it will draw a lot more…"

My first APM and first H-Quad. Im am VERY pleased, this is the maiden, unfortunately its indoors as it was raining outside, but it is very stable. Using the default out of the box settings. Sorry for the bad video, had to use my phone and it has an old slow SD card in still.
