"Firstly, good luck in getting any kind of authorative and unambiguous response from anyone at the SACAA. Second, since there are no laws for UAS in South Africa, your UAS/UAV/Drone falls into non-typed, non-certified category and under the RC…"

Auto mission with home/takeoff 50m above landing spot

HiWe are struggling with planning a mission with mission planner where our takeoff site is 50m above our landing site. The mission goes smoothly (takeoff, navigation, approach) until final landing stage. The plane tries to 'land' 50m above ground (cuts throttle and glides). We've tried setting landing altitude all the way down to -48m. The mission planner calls the altitude as -38, -42, etc. but the plane is still 50m above ground. We repeat with landing altitude at 0 with the same results. We've…See More

"I got a reply the day after posting this.  However, they still seem very disorganised because I got 2 conflicting replies.  Bottom line... I'm still waiting for my package to be shipped from an order places on 30 May. (not a joke) "

"I'm no longer even getting the automated email responses, so perhaps 3DR is changing their email system.  Also, the sales@3dr email address no longer works.  "

Are there any people still working at 3DR or have they all been replaced by defective drones? We've been waiting for an order since June 12th 2013. It went missing after 6 days somewhere in Memphis. It was eventually found and sent back to 3DR. 3DR confirmed they received it back and said they would ship it out again on July 22nd.We've been trying to get hold of anyone at 3DR since then, but can't get any response other than the help email's robot acknowledging our emails to them (so we know…See More

Raymond Leach replied to titeuf007's discussion does it possible to have a mission planer on android phone and use 3drradio???
"I would be interested. A working planner GCS for android would mean that you could put together a complete system without a clunky laptop or computer to do mission planning and/or monitoring."
