Latest log file formats?

Hi. I need to process log files. I had been told before that .tlog files were based on QGroundControl format, but looking at one, it does not seem to contain valid data. That is, the first 8 bytes do…Continue

APM2 GPS reported wrong position

Started Aug 1, 2012 0 Replies

We were flying the UAV today, when all of a sudden it went way off course. After investigating, we determined that the GPS was reporting the location wrong, indicating it was 500 m or more to the…Continue

"Thanks, Michael. A related question: is it possible to add microseconds to the full timestamp in the CSV log? For example, I got three packets in the same real-time second: 3/17/2013 12:37:41 PM,FE,1C,1B, 1,…"

Latest log file formats?

Hi. I need to process log files. I had been told before that .tlog files were based on QGroundControl format, but looking at one, it does not seem to contain valid data. That is, the first 8 bytes do not seem to be a valid timestamp, there is no 0x55, and no further explanation of the file format. Can anyone describe the converted CSV format? I used the version of APM Mission Planner uploaded yesterday to convert our .tlog files to CSV, and have lines like this I want to parse:3/17/2013 12:37:41…See More

"Ah, so there are fuel cells that use propane directly. I didn't realize that. Wonder where I can score one… For sure, there will be batteries involved. We might design a complete power management system (I'm an EE by training) to…"

"Sure, it's fuel, but it's not internal combustion, with all its attendant issues (weight, noise, vibration, need for a generator, etc.). Plus, the fuel cell is just cooler. Maybe we can put one (or more) of these Horizon Fuel…"

"Simon, I wanted to talk to you about your fuel cell. We're planning a very long endurance flight, and were thinking we'd have to switch to gas. If you can do 10 hours with a fuel cell…we'd like to do 20."

"We also had to put the batteries very far forward. We ended up with all the avionics in the back (except for the telemetry radio and airspeed sensor). We ran power cables pretty far. Didn't have any issues at all, although telemetry range…"

"Unfortunately, we had grown complacent in our UAV's reliability. We've done a dozen flights without incident, and so weren't paying very close attention to the telemetry showing the gradual descent. Even if we had had a joystick,…"

"We have our batteries very far forward, and even so we have to fly with a GoPro camera in the very front. Sadly, our UAV decided to fly into SF bay over the weekend. We had telemetry all the way down. We had to buy a cheap inflatable boat and…"
