"I too wish that 3DR would address this issue. I can't bring myself to rely on this faulty equipment. Sure, I'm running 5000mAh / 4S batteries, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't expect any sort of surge, especially mid-flight to…"

Ryan Randels replied to Josh Gray's discussion Power Module Failure?
"Richard, thanks for the tip! I know I'll never rely on the 3DR PM moving forward... It was absolutely catastrophic and anything like this that could be avoided, will be. I'm going to go ahead and purchase the AttoPilot 180A module in…"

Ryan Randels replied to Josh Gray's discussion Power Module Failure?
"Yes, unfortunately I'm another to join the club, and I wasn't as lucky to resolve this issues like the rest of you before something catastrophic happened. My configuration... BATTERY > 3DR PM > PDB PDB > ESC > MOTORS PDB >…"

APM 2.6 GPS / Compass Eagle Files?

I posted this earlier in another section, no response, so I've been snooping around some more. Have since deleted that "discussion"I've been pulling my hair out looking at the eagle files for what is supposed to be the 3DR uBlox GPS with Compass, however the eagle files listed on the website are for the OLD GPS with no compass... Thought I was going insane - …See More

zmooth replied to Ryan Randels's discussion I'll Introduce myself - QAV400 Pilot With a Question!
"Also do as Clint suggested, unlock your roll/rate PIDs and crank up only rate pitch. I'm using stock values on rate pitch while my roll rate P is down to .095"

Ryan Randels replied to Ryan Randels's discussion I'll Introduce myself - QAV400 Pilot With a Question!
"Thanks Clint! Unfortunately (well kind of, I'll explain in a sec) it looks like I found what the inherent issue with the setup was. For some reason my ESC was on its way out for some time now, what seems to be my last dozen flights. I thought…"

Clint Phillips replied to Ryan Randels's discussion I'll Introduce myself - QAV400 Pilot With a Question!
"Im new to quads but in my opinion your rate P and D for the roll axis is too high, Set it to P = 0.07 and D = 0.004 and I = 0. Work your rate P roll up from there or even leave it if it feels ok, Keep your stab the same because if it wobbles at 0…"

Ryan Randels replied to Ryan Randels's discussion I'll Introduce myself - QAV400 Pilot With a Question!
"Thanks Brian! I'll go ahead and try giving a reduced rate_P and raising stab_P back up to the factory standard. Looks like your rate_I is substantially higher than mine too, I'll look into that as well. "

Ryan Randels replied to Ryan Randels's discussion I'll Introduce myself - QAV400 Pilot With a Question!
"Hey Clint, thanks for the comment! I do get the wobble in acro with stab P at zero. In-fact, I get some extremely strange fidgeting in Acro where every couple minutes the quad will seem to be reacting to a strong outside force, then it is…"

"Do you still get the wobble in acro with stab P at 0? Have you tried to turn rate p down to around 0.09. Are you locking pitch and roll?"
