ArduCopter 3.1.5 baro pressure goes down and so does altitude?!?

Hi,A friend of mine is having problems with an ArduCopter 3.1.5 on Pixhawk. According to him, in auto modes it sometimes shoots way above its altitude target, and then overreacts by throttling down…Continue

Where's the APM1.4 bootloader?

Started Aug 27, 2013 0 Replies

Hi,I think I have busted my APM1's bootloader.I wonder where I can find a new one to ISP prog. There is an APM2 bootloder in the Tools dir in the Ardupilot repository. That probably reports the wrong…Continue

ArduCopter 3.1.5 baro altitude pressure goes down and so does altitude?!?

Hi,A friend of mine is having problems with an ArduCopter 3.1.5 on Pixhawk. According to him, in auto modes it sometimes shoots way above its altitude target, and then overreacts by throttling down to almost idle. Before it can be flipped in manual and the descent halted, it will have hit the ground (it is a heavy bird with large, slow propellers and not much torque surplus if any).Sounds like a standard altitude PID thing? Look again. On the Status tab in a slow tlog playback in Mission…See More

Externally accessible pins APM1 and APM2

If somebody else had ideas about using old APM1's and soon to become old APM2's for some different purpose than autopiloting - probably you will want to connect some hardware, right?

I have gone through what I could find of documentation, and measured what was not documented.

Here is a brief…

Sticky Home Experiment

Posted on August 20, 2013 at 1:03pm 11 Comments

I wrote a feature for ArduPlane that allows the home position to be somewhere else than where the APM was started. This is useful for flight under "flying line" rules or if you want to ready your plane in one place and fly it from another.

The feature was requested and discussed …
