jdrones 30A esc's

Hi everyoneI know this topic has been discussed before, but the answer leads me to ask another question.I took out my Arducopter hexa today at -7 C.  Powered it up and all 6 esc's started beeping. I know the fix to this problem has been to calibrate the esc's in the temperature where it is flying, so in my case at -7C.Apparently people have done this with no problems. My question is, what happens to the calibration once the esc's are up and running, getting warmer???  To me it would seem to…See More

Steve St.Clair replied to Drew Roberts's discussion Hexa looses all power at half throttle during hand test
"Hi Yes, you are right. The battery has to provide and be capable of sustaining  a lot of current. For my hexa, I use a 4s 5100mah 35C lipo battery. Will hover for about 12 minutes using 80% battery capacity. Steve"

Steve St.Clair replied to Johann Van Niekerk's discussion APM 2.5 and 3DR power module failure.
"Hi For simplicity, I would monitor the apm input voltage while operating the servos. If its not going below  5v, your module is fine. You may need a fast meter for this to catch the transients. Or, to eliminate the module right away, load…"

Steve St.Clair replied to Richard's discussion Yet another 'Which transmitter' question, for Aerial mapping Aircraft (jr, futaba, spektrum, turnigy, hitec?)
"Hi Richard, I already own a JR XP8103 that I am using for my Hexa. Had it for about 11 years now and it works very nice for me. No reliability issues with lots of flying helicopters and planes. For ease of hookup with dragonlink, the older 72Mhz…"

"Hi Richard I will make a suggestion for you, it may be a little more expensive than what you are mentioning, however, this is what I am doing with my setup. Check out this site http://www.dragonlinkstore.com/v2/node/1 As you will read, this is a…"
