I have loaded Copter 3.4.4 (8a196281) firmware into a Pixhawk Mini and manually assigned the BRD_TYPE to 5.  Now receiving "Check BRD_TYPE: No MPU9250 found".  Does MP not use the MPU9250 motion…Continue

Hey Sully,

yes this is a frustrating issue here!..so my pixhack with this issue is on it way back to the suppler to exchange for another one as nothing will fix this issue. HOWEVER I went through the procedure of using the beta testing firmware and it works as it by-passes the brd check where there is a failure. The board seems to work..but im not confident with it at all so back it goes to the supplier.

In the mean time, I have ordered and recieved a pixhawk (clone) 2.4.8 from a chinese website including gps etc. Plugged that in an it works flawless, everything updates and works fine. funny this is that it was half the price of the pixhack I purchased!

btw - what are you flying?

Thanks for the info Chad!

Are they going to send you a refund or another autopilot?  I sent an email to 3DR for an RMA for the 3 that I bought.  We'll see how that goes.

I have a 2.4.8 and may use it.  I'm build a few custom quads and done buying frames.  I built a CNC mill where I can cut my own carbon fiber plates.

Do you know anything about creating a flight plan that could fly to a waypoint, turn to an object, tilt the camera to a defined degree, trigger a camera via PWM signal, then turn and proceed to the next waypoint and repeat?
