Hello all,Newbie question.  It sounds like most people set up their boards to be powered from an independent battery and BEC, which seems to make sense to me.  What Im trying to figure out is the…Continue

"Yes, the maxmax cameras are great. Do you have a specific question? They are very useful from NDVI / vegetation monitoring. "

"Hi all, Could those of you who are building these post some measurements?  Im thinking particularly of the length of the arms, but the spacing between the arms and the size of the plastic containers would be a huge help in order to figure…"

"Jake this is great stuff.  I have two questions: 1.  Do you use some sort of formula to figure the length of the arms, and if so do you figure in the likelihood that you might change props? 2.  Im trying to guestimate the size of…"

"Ah, OK. You need to watch out for the power coming from that ESC.  Some of them provide 6V, and if that gets to the APM, it'll fry it.   If you have a positive wire going from the ESC to the Rx, and then from the Rx to the APM, you…"

Power connections on AP2

Hi,I posted in another area but perhaps this is where it should really go...I have an Arduplane2 with an easystar to get started with this...Im just wondering how people are typically connecting their AP2 to their radio, their batteries, and their servos. On the one hand it is pretty straight forward in that i connect the female connectors between the RX and the AP2...and the servos connect to the output on the AP2...the battery for the motor connects to an EC.So, in short, how do i connect…See More

Newbie Power Question

Hello all,Newbie question.  It sounds like most people set up their boards to be powered from an independent battery and BEC, which seems to make sense to me.  What Im trying to figure out is the exact wiring for the entire system overall...I might be missing something obvious, so without further ado:1.  Battery---BEC---open input rail connection2.  Battery--ESC--RX3.  Servo wires---output rail4.  RX control wires---input railThis doesn't seem quite right to me, and I don't want to fry…See More
