I've never heard of shield or oil pan before until I stumble on the Audrino boards.  Why are they call what they are?  Shield?  oil pan?  I would have never guessed what they mean by itself.Continue

Joly replied to Wesley Chuen's discussion Tail is Good now. How to tune the Pitch and Roll?
"That feature refers to channel 7 of APM's input, not the output of your receiver. So you connect an auxilary channel from your receiver and plug it into channel 7 of APM input."

Using APM as just a Nav controller

After reading a couple of successful posts about the Align APS GPS system, I downloaded their manual and see how it is connected.  Align still use their old 3Gx unit for stabilization, and using the new GPS unit just to provide navigation such as way points, landing, and take off.  I'm going to try the same with APM.Since I'm super satisfy with the stability of the Skookum SK720 and I have a couple…See More

Wesley Chuen replied to Alex Hills's discussion Hexacopter Battery Setup
"Just noticed that you linked a 4s battery.  Do you need to do some heavy lifting?  If not, you should either use 3s lipo or using  shorter props like 9" or 8".  Either of those gives you longer flight time. "
