"Well, 3dr got back to me and said my 32u2 or mux must have been damaged in the crash.
Is there a way to reflash teh 32u2 chip to try and get USB connectivity back? Is there way, other than the telemetry port of USB to talk to the thing?

It turned out that a component (cannot remember which) had fallen off in shipping"
