"Are you replying to me? The original person that posted this? I've long since changed to 600mw and all is fine. Building these things isn't rocket science and I only had a small transmission issue. Your prick response isn't necessary…"

"All of these videos are shot with 5.8ghz 600mw and Fat-shark predator goggles. Range is fine once you understand how to setup and how radio freq work placement on your vehicle is key to getting the best range. having ham radio license is key and…"

"Here in the UK we have big problems with this stuff. 900 & 1.2mhz is a mobile phone frequency in the uk so a big no no. 2.4 no good for obvious reasons, 5.8 the only legally allowed usage but get this.........maximum 10mw!!!!! So pretty much…"

"Could you possibly have the RX and TX antenna swapped ? That could explain super-low range. 3 lobe cloverleaf goes on the TX (aircraft) and 4 leaf skew planar wheel goes on the RX (goggles). Regards, Knut"

Profile Information

About Me:
Live in Snowmass Colorado. Wife and two young boys. My wife and I run a small IT business in Aspen.
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
I've always loved everything RC but haven't done much since I was a kid. Recently started hearing about these quadcopters and decide to buy one. Have had some great flying experiences with it but have also struggled. It is a Gaui330x-s and think that the technology just isn't there. Would like to eventually use the technology in the Aspen area for videography of Real Estate, Action Sports, and just the beautiful scenery around here.
